THE most grueling event on the World Rally Championship calendar throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, and for much of that time it was dominated by local hero Shekhar Mehta. Five times a Safari Rally winner, Mehta and co-driver Mike Doughty piloted this Datsun Violet GT to victory in the 1982 edition of the event, a career-capping win memorialized in this 1:43-scale resin model by Spark.
